Fowler Wins Back-To-Back Individual National Titles in Heptathlon
Suffolk's Malia Fowler Becomes First Women's Track & Field Athlete In Program History To Win Two Consecutive Individual National Titles

Utica, New York - Suffolk Community College sophomore Malia Fowler made program history, becoming the school's first-ever back-to-back National Champion after winning her second consecutive Heptathlon at the 2024 NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Fowler won the 100-meter hurdles and the High Jump with a time of 15.88 and a top mark of 1.48 meters in the Heptathlon while finishing second in the 200 meters with a personal best time of 28.57 and third in the shot put long jump and 800 meters with marks of 7.48 meters and 4.47 meters and a time of 2:55.89. Fowler took the most points overall to grab her second straight Heptathlon crown with 3,330 points.
Fowler also picked up the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field All-American Honorable Mention with a third-place finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.65.
