Coach Caputo has been coaching cheerleading at the college level since 1989. She began coaching at St. Joseph’s College and has been the head cheer coach at Suffolk County Community College since 1994. In 1998, she was elected onto the Executive Board of the Long Island Cheerleading Coaches Association and currently still holds her position. She is AACCA certified, CPR and AED certified, a LICCA Safety Certifier, and the choreographer for LICCA’s Annual Patriotic Tribute. In her spare time she is the Cheer Coach for the NYPD Football Cheerleaders, and is also the Director of G-Force Cheer Co. which runs cheer camps and clinics. She has been actively involved in judging Cheerleading competitions on all levels for over 16 years and has hosted the LICCA Cheerleading Championships. In 2004, she was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for the Long Island Cheerleading Coaches Association.
Coach Caputo is an alumnus of Suffolk County Community College. She received her degree in Business Administration in 1986 and went on to receive her B.S. in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College. She is the administrative assistant to the Athletic Director at Suffolk CCC on the Ammerman Campus.
