Men Continue to Qualify for National Championship at Wagner Invitational
Corley and Kehrer qualify for more than one event; Ruddick with another PB.
Josiah Hoshyla won the pole vault and hit the national standard with a PR of 4.35 meters. Mike Kehrer qualified in both the shot put (12.90 meters) and the discus (38.33 meters). Freshman Maurice Epps jumped 1.92 meters, hitting the qualifying standard for the national meet. Sophomore Galvin Biggs qualified in the long jump with a PR of 6.49 meters.
In the 100 Justin Walker (11.47) and Diamonte Corley (11.13) hit the standard to compete at the national meet. In the 400 meters Corley (50.90) and Ibrahim Abubakar (50.34) hit the qualifying mark. Kenny Ruddick, who will compete at nationals in the 400 hurdles, continued to lower his PR with a time of 57.41 seconds.
The men's 4x100 relay continued to lower the team's national qualifying time to 43.06 seconds, and the 4x400 relay qualified for nationals with a time of 3:27.28.
