Sharks Shine at St. Joseph's Inaugural Track & Field Invitational

Dannie Holland won the triple jump with a jump of 13.94 meters, qualifying him for the national meet in his second event. In the men's long jump, Blake Evans took first with a jump of 6.32 meters and Holland took second with a jump of 5.93 meters.

Freshman Christian Lyons threw his personal best in the shot put with a mark of 11.04 meters. In the javelin, Jeff Shuder threw 37.07 meters and Kathleen Costello threw 18.7 meters, both marks a personal best. Costello qualified for the nationals in the 100 meter hurdles, with a time of 16.63 seconds.

Tori Thompson ran 27.03 in the 200 meters, qualifying her for nationals in her second event. Ashley Dominguez ran a season best of 12.94 in the 100m dash, and teammate Dominique Mitchell hit the national mark for the event.
