Sharks Continue to Climb in National Rankings at WCU
On the Men's side, Suffolk saw great performances at the West Chester Invitational from Sam Chimezie, who improved his times in both the 110m hurdles (15.65) and the 400m hurdles. (56.36) Chimezie is currently ranked first in the national rankings for the 400m hurdle race. The Men's 4x100m relay improved upon their time, running a 44.31.
The Suffolk CC freshman jumpers had another great showing, winning both the long jump and the triple jump. Cordell Nix won the long jump with a leap of 6.79m (22'3") and Mark Jackson placed second. Micah Assibey-Bonsu won the triple jump from a short approach, with teammates Malik Hinds and Cordell Nix placed third and fourth.
Our Women's team continued to shine, with the 4x400m relay surging up to number 2 in the national rankings with a time of 4:09.08
